Little Libraries doing Big Things!

Ever wondered how to “recycle” old books?

Sadly, more than 300 million books 📚end up in the landfill every year! While most paperback books and magazines are somewhat recyclable, hardcovers and old text books can’t be put in your blue bin.

BUT there’s an even better way to repurpose old books, and make sure they’re REUSED...Libraries! 😊

Libraries are a great place to get books as well as donate old books. AND library cards are free and simple to get. With your library card you also have access to movies, ebooks and audiobooks through the Libby app, and even free entry to select museums and national parks!

Another great option for exchanging old books are Little Free Libraries! @littlefreelinbrary is a nonprofit with the goal of building community and expanding book accessibility for people in over 100 countries! LFL is a great place to donate that book you didn’t quite love and pick up a new one ✨

By donating a book or two to LFL or your local library you can prevent books from being thrown away, give someone a great way to pass time, and help fight the growing illiteracy crisis in the United States.

There are over 50 LFLs in Los Angeles which can be found through their website https://littlefreelibrary.org/map/ or on their app!! 🎉♻️🤓
