Sun Dairy Co. is a dairy manufacturing company located in Northeast LA. They recently teamed up with our Zero Waste Rep Paul to #divert their 3-gallon buckets from the landfill by donating them to our Zero Waste Team so we can repurpose them as organics collection containers!!! 🥳
This is a big win since Sun Dairy goes through 100s of these containers on a weekly basis, and with no go-back programs in place from their bucket manufacturers, they are taking the extra step to clean, store and donate their reusable containers instead of sending them to the Landfill. 🙅🏼♂️
Our Zero Waste Team has an ongoing project to rescue and redistribute non-recyclable but reusable 3 and 5-gallon buckets. We repurpose them and provide them for free to help businesses and multi-family tenants collect their food scraps and to transport to their organics bins or local compost hubs!
